The The Whole Internet File Manager
Put aside FTP clients with our File Manager
Applied as FTP (File Transfer Protocol) software substitutes, online file management tools have always been slow and poor in features. Still, using the File Manager integrated in the The Whole Internet Site Control Panel, you won’t just employ a quick, responsive and easy–to–work–with file management client, but also a tool that will make a 3rd party FTP program unneeded. Take a look at several of the options that we have integrated into our File Manager.
Drag ’n’ Drop File Uploads
The most effective method to upload files
Adding data files with an FTP client is an obsolete and quite an unsafe way of transporting data files from your desktop machine or notebook to a hosting server. For this reason, we have integrated drag–and–drop data file upload support in the File Manager. Just pull the files that you need to publish from your desktop into your Internet browser and they will start to upload in your hosting account through a risk–free SSL connection.
You don’t have to install any additional software, Web browser plug–ins or applications. The drag & drop function operates equally well on Windows, Linux, and Mac.
Right–click Context Menus
Handle your files with a mouse–click
The vast majority of File Managers include all of the activities that one can perform within a file or directory on the top of the Web page. We feel that the latter isn’t user–friendly enough. With the File Manager, you have access to all file control choices at the time you right–click a file or directory. This approach is also applicable for multiple files/folders.
It’s possible to rename, copy, move, download, edit, preview, archive, unarchive and delete every file or directory you decide with just a mouse–click.
Archive/Unarchive Files
Manage archives with merely a click of the mouse
The File Manager is equipped with a built–in archive/unarchive solution that can assist you upload enormous archives and extract them into your Web hosting account in seconds. Any time compressing a file or folder, it’s possible to decide on the name of the archive that will be created as well as its extension – .ZIP, .RAR or .TAR.GZ. At the same time, you will be able to archive active files or folders with only a click of the mouse.
The archive/unarchive option provided by the File Manager allows you to handle substantial files directly from your Site Control Panel. You don’t need to employ any third–party software (e.g., an FTP client) in order to upload large files to your account or download any archive to your desktop.
