Dot NET Domains
When the Dot NET universal domain extension was initially introduced in 1985, together with the first domain name extensions on the World Wide Web, it was supposed to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure establishments. Taking into account that there were no particular conditions about the usage of the top-level domain extension, though, .NET domains were bought and used for diverse purposes and by a large number of people. This extension represents an ideal alternative to .COM, notably if the desirable domain with the latter TLD is not available for registration.
Grabbing a .NET domain with our firm is as easy as a breeze and takes no more than a couple of minutes, given that we partner with an ICANN-approved registrar. You can register such a domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years, or, if you already have a domain, you can transfer it to our firm and we will renew it as soon as the transfer process is done. Transfers are available for all domain names, which are at least 60 days old, given that they are unlocked and that you have obtained an EPP transfer authorization key – security measures set up by the Registry organization against unauthorized transfers. You can easily alter the WHOIS details of the domain through your Control Panel, or, if you don't wish this information to be visible at all, you can add a Whois Privacy Protection service, so no one will be able to check your true contact info.
The dot NET extension supports internationalized names, so you can take a decision if you want to focus on a certain country or zone using a domain name in the local language, or the global online community – using a generic English name.
